12 dragon boats participate in the "dragon boat raising" ceremony

Art and Culture | The eighth day of the fourth month of the lunar calendar is marked as the day of the "dragon boat raising" ceremony in many villages in #Guangzhou. On the 15th May morning, accompanied by the sound of firecrackers and rhythmic drums, the "dragon boat raising" ceremony of Liede Village, Tianhe District, Guangzhou launched. On the #ceremony site, the hidden dragon boat neatly arranged, revealing the bow and stern, and a number of men are cleaning the boat. This year 12 dragon #boats of Liede Village are participating in this ceremony. They include the red #dragon, flower dragon, five-colour dragon, and a long history of "champion" golden dragon. #artandculture

“农历四月八，起龙船啦！”农历四月初八是广州多村“起龙”的日子。5月15日上午，伴随阵阵鞭炮声和有节奏的鼓声，广州天河区猎德村起龙仪式正式开始。仪式现场，只见藏龙塘上龙舟整齐排列，露出船头船尾，数名青壮年正对船身进行清洗。据悉，今年猎德村共有12条龙舟起龙，包括红龙、花龙、五色龙，以及一条历史悠久的“冠军”金龙。
