Beitang, Meizhou: An ancient and picturesque village

Lingnan: Beauty Beyond Borders | Beitang Village in Xihe Town, Meizhou, on the banks of the Zhangxi River, has a history of more than 800 years since it was founded at the end of the Song Dynasty and the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty. After a few rains in May, the #bamboo forest along the Zhangxi River becomes more and more verdant. The seedlings in the paddy fields, the wild #flowers on the hillside, the periwinkle houses beside the village road, and the villagers taking a walk... They all form a beautiful #countryside scene, which just happened to be depicted on the boards by the painters who came to sketch to record this wonderful moment. #SplendidLingnan

漳溪河畔的梅州大埔西河镇北塘村，从宋末元初建村到现在已有800多年历史。五月的几场雨过后，漳溪河畔的竹林越显青翠，水田里的禾苗，山坡上的野花，村道旁的围龙屋，散步的村民……构成了一幅美丽的乡村图景，这些刚好被前来写生的画家们描绘在了画板上，似有“你在桥上看风景/看风景的人在楼上看你”的意境。
