A new landmark of marine cultural tourism will emerge on Qingdao’s beautiful coastline. The Qingdao Blue Oceantec Valley Aoshan Bay marine cultural tourism project, whose signing was recently completed, will be co-developed by the Qingdao Oceantec Valley and Yuanjia Village, a famous rural tourism destination in Shaanxi Province.
Boasting a 43.9km-long coastline and the only ocean bath salt hot spring in China, the Blue Oceantec Valley is home to numerous national level scientific research institutions, colleges and research institutes. Its unrivalled natural resources and strengths in scientific research pave a solid foundation for the high-quality development of cultural tourism. With a total planned investment of RMB3.2bln, the Aoshan Bay marine cultural tourism project will have construction across 7.5km-long coastline and cover a dozen of villages by the sea.
The project will introduce the operation team of Shaanxi Yuanjia Village, a pacesetter in China’s folk culture and delicacy, and leverage Aoshan Bay’s natural resources such as mountains, seas, forests, springs and beaches to build a fishery delicacy street featuring Jiaodong fish banquet, fishing village homestay and beach combing as well as the beautiful coastal road and leisure tourism destination with catering, homestay, park and hotel services.
