Wangmen Mending, Pingdu Clay Sculpture, Gaojia Sugar Ball, Daou Bird Cage, Jimo Yellow Rice Wine, Sunshi Eaglewood, Hetao Fabric Tiger etc. Qingdao recently held the first intangible cultural heritage festival, where 16 national level intangible cultural heritage projects, 74 provincial level projects and 207 municipal level projects were integrated in a systemic manner, intangible cultural heritage was combined with art, delicious food, market fairs, music, movie-watching and camping, stories of intangible cultural heritage were better told in an artistic and high-tech manner to popularize and revitalize such heritage projects.

In the first intangible cultural heritage festival, the forum on the revitalization, inheritance and innovation of intangible cultural heritage was specially held, in which guests from fields of all sorts were invited to exchange mutual opinions on the creative transformation and the innovative development of intangible cultural heritage in Qingdao.

Qingdao is advancing the high-quality integration of intangible cultural heritage with cultural industry and tourism. Efforts are ramped up to probe into the cultural connotation, brand value and cultural value of intangible cultural heritage projects and prioritize the top ten projects including marine products, dough modelling, green tea, shell carving and paper cutting.
