As the new parks on Fushan and Taiping Mount are open to the public, landmark scenic spots add to the “good scenery in Qingdao”. In summer nights, an influx of citizens and tourists climb onto mountains to enjoy flowing lights and colors. Such featured scenic sites as Peach Blossom Castle in Fushan Forest Park and Wencui Lake are bathed in colorful illuminations. Laser characters such as “Shengtai Lvse Changlang” (Green Ecological Corridor), “Shimin Xiuxian Gongyuan” (Recreational Park for Citizens) and “Qingding Fushan” (Fascination with Fushan) cast lights on the mountain to form harmonious and magnificent scenes. Tourists bend over to see swans swim gracefully or joyfully on the lake, creating ripples and adding animation to nature.

In the Taiping Central Mount Park, when the evening lights are lit, a gorgeous picture roll of Taiping Mount “unfolds” slowly. The winding rainbow bridge extends towards the deep forest. Relieved against lights, 72 kinds of colors change in alternation, resembling a colored ribbon dancing amid the mount. People either stroll amid the “picture scroll” or take the cable to “ramble” in the sky and have a panoramic view of Qingdao at night.   (Liu Dong)
