The 36th Qingdao International Beer Festival opened on July 17 at the Golden Beach Beer City. With a focus on the creativity idea of “extending a sincere invitation”, the opening ceremony created an immersive experience space featuring interactions with the whole audience and virtual-real integration, and presented in front of tourists from both home and abroad a cultural feast that combines artistic charm with urban characteristics.

This year’s festival, which will last from July 17 to August 15, features three venues, namely, the West Coast New Area venue, Laoshan venue and Qingdao Old Town venue, adopting a citywide approach with coordinated activities across multiple locations. The event will take continuous steps to create stronger international vibes, deliver a more comfortable experience and have more cultural appeal in an aim to invigorate consumption with beer culture and consolidate the city’s status as the “Beer Capital of China”.

This year’s festival will offer more than 2,300 varieties of beer from around the world, and prioritize launching exclusive products for the festival, specialty drinks and new products to cater to diverse tastes. Furthermore, the festival will feature more than 2,000 events in seven categories ranging from beer tastings, cultural performances to international trade exchanges. (Xue Huafei)
