China’s most livable cities for 2025 were recently unveiled in the Happy Cities Forum 2025. Qingdao has been named one of China's most livable cities for 2025 in the provincial capital and separately listed city category, marking its sixth consecutive year on the list.

With a focus on improvements in people’s quality of life and mainly participated by urban residents, this year’s event was aimed at looking into the sense of happiness among Chinese cities and presenting vivid practices across China in the building of livable cities.

Since the beginning of this year, Qingdao has been pursuing innovation in urban management methods, modes and philosophies to enable citizens to see first-hand in their daily lives equity and justice, convenience and efficiency as well as peace and harmony. Qingdao has worked to set up a Chinese leading urban operation and management service platform, where more than 100 application scenarios help extend the sense of happiness to residential communities and estates.
