By August 19, the number of tourists received by the Qingdao Maritime Tourism Consortium reached the 3 million mark for the first time, a new record high. Since the beginning of this year, Qingdao’s maritime tourism sector is keeping a momentum of robust growth characterized by strong supply and demand, and the clout that “Exploring Qingdao from the Sea” campaign carries for cultural tourism is translating into “additional consumption” on a continual basis.

During the peak tourist season, Qingdao Tourism Group keeps clinching record numbers of tourists by making the most of the brand of “Exploring Qingdao from the Sea” and launching an innovative and broad spectrum of “ocean plus” products. Qingdao Tourism Group has so far launched 17 high-quality routes under the brand of “Exploring Qingdao from the Sea” and products of 29 kinds ranging from passenger ships, sailing boats to skiffs. The Qingdao Maritime Tourism Consortium has taken merely 23 days to see the annual tourist reception soar from two million to three million, representing a daily average of 50,000.
