As the first port of call cruise ship that stayed overnight in Qingdao, “Zhao Shang Yi Dun” berthed in Qingdao on August 18 and 19. Tourists from the ship saw first-hand the vitality and charm of Qingdao by tasting fine food or admiring the scenery. The cruise ship “Blue Dream Melody” docked at the Qingdao international cruise homeport on August 19, marking that the homeport harbored two cruise ships on the same day for the first time after it reopened.
With a gross deadweight of 47,800 tons, “Zhao Shang Yi Dun” can hold 930 passengers. From this August to November, it will visit Qingdao twice a month, or eight times in total. The cruise ship “Blue Dream Melody”, which has some connection with Qingdao, and boasts a gross deadweight of 42,000 tons and a capacity of 1,580 passengers, plans to make nine voyages to Qingdao.
To greet the arrival of “Zhao Shang Yi Dun” and “Blue Dream Melody”, Qingdao has meticulously worked out shore tourism routes of different themes for passenger to choose from. With tourist attractions ranging from the Laoshan Scenic Spot, Tsingtao Beer Museum, Dabaodao, the seafood market on Tuandao Island, Eight Great Passes, the Museum of the Former German Governor’s House in Qingdao, May Fourth Square to Xiaoyu Mountain, tourists can not only admire Qingdao’s natural scenery featuring the perfect integration of mountains, the sea and the cityscape, see first-hand cultural heritage in the ancient area, but also have the chance to taste cool and refreshing Tsingtao beer.
