Qingdao Municipal Government and Shenzhen Municipal Government recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement to give play to both parties’ comparative advantages in resources, facilitate rational flow and allocation of resource factors in the two cities and accelerate the cultivation of new productive forces. The agreement is intended to further improve the two cities’ comprehensive strength and international competitiveness, and set up a new example for cross-regional cooperation and development in China.
In accordance with the agreement, the two parties will abide by the principle of “highlighting government-led efforts, considering enterprises as the mainstay, complementing each other’s advantages, and seeking win-win results” to consolidate inter-governmental coordination and policy guidance, pursue in-depth pragmatic cooperation in multiple fields such as sci-tech innovation, industrial development, cultural tourism and opening to the outside world, emphasize the efforts to facilitate the implementation of national significant strategies including the Belt and Road Initiative, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and ecological conservation and high-quality development of Yellow River Basin, take the initiative to serve and embrace the new development paradigm in a joint effort to become modern international cities.
