All residents in Fujian province gather together to pursue happiness and share the belief that only by striving can one succeed. On the evening of April 19, amid thunderous cheers of more than 50,000 football fans, the opening game of the 2026 Fujian Football City League was staged in the Fuzhou Straits Olympic Sports Center between Fuzhou and the visiting Xiamen team. 

51,342 spectators arrived to watch the game, a new record high for the number of spectators showing up in both a sports event in Fujian province and an opening game of all Chinese city football leagues.
