Industry leaders flex their capabilities in intelligent applications to benefit common households

Such scenes as intelligent glasses understanding lip language and digital family doctors providing diagnosis anytime, which used to merely appear in science fiction films, have nowadays turned into reality and can be seen in common households. Industry leaders such as Tencent, Alibaba and iFLYTEK in the 9th Digital China Summit showcased their AI capabilities, and joined hands to offer a future-oriented sci-tech feast and to present in a vivid way how artificial intelligence has become deeply involved in our work and life.

The newly-launched AI glasses displayed in the iFLYTEK booth particularly grabbed the spotlight.

“This type of glasses weighs merely 40 grams, 20% lighter than its prevalent peers on the market. The AI glasses support four speech patterns, namely, simultaneous interpretation, face-to-face translation, online simultaneous interpretation and communication translation, and can provide AR translation thanks to cameras. With these functions, the glasses can ensure barrier-free cross-lingual communication on occasions ranging from meetings, transnational communication to traveling abroad. Despite in noisy environments like exhibition events or talks involving multiple persons, the glasses can tell apart speeches in an accurate way to ensure correct and smooth translation thanks to silent speech recognition among other multi-modal noise reduction technologies.

In the summit, Ant Group introduced a few intelligent products that are designed for ordinary users.

“Ant Afu”, a health AI application, was seen in the most conspicuous position of the exhibition hall. Dependent on Ant Group’s large medical service models and long-accumulated medical and health service systems, the application is provided with three functional modules, namely, health-related inquiries, health companion and health services.

In the summit, the Fuzhou Municipal Health Commission joined hands with Ant Group to launch the “Fuzhou digital family doctor” tool. Fuzhou citizens can log onto the “Ant Afu” App to search for the “Fuzhou digital family doctor” platform, where visitors can sign on their exclusive family doctors and have access to a range of services from intelligent inquiries, health management to report analysis.
