The Zhugangding sub-camp on the Fuzhou Kuliang China-US Youth Campsite officially began operations and opened for business in a recent evening. Combining camping+starry sky+moon gazing+experience+music in a unique way, the event is intended to reveal a new aspect of China-US youth exchanges, and sustain and carry on Kuliang friendship that has lasted over a century.

In December 2024, Kuliang was designated by the Chinese Peoples Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries as a China-US youth exchange campsite. Kuliang has availed itself of the opportunity to push vigorously for campsite infrastructure construction and hold a variety of cultural exchange events for youths from China and the US. A combination of steps have been taken to make the story of Kuliang better heard in the new era.

As an important part of the China-US youth exchange campsite, the Zhugangding sub-camp is situated in the Kuliang Zhuli Scenic Spot and covers a total area of about 41,000 square meters. It boasts wide-open terrain and is a perfect site for viewing, thus earning itself the name A Castle in the Sky.

It is reported that Zhugangding prioritizes building a tourist spot that integrates large -scale performances, leisurely experience and supporting services, and is designed to provide Chinese and foreign tourists with a wide array of services, including professional camping, team building for governmental institutions and enterprises, large-scale performances and cultural events. According to the sponsor, Kuliang will continue to conduct different kinds of exchange events for Chinese and foreign youths in a bid to sustain and carry forward the century-old Kuliang friendship among the new generations, and work hard to become an important window, a significant platform, and a successful example for the promotion of China-US people-to-people ties and youth exchanges.
