GAFA Degree Show enchants the audience!

Amid much festivity, the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts (GAFA) celebrated its 70th anniversary. To mark the occasion in a befitting manner, the academy held the “GAFA—Dan Qing Yin Transmedia Light Fashion Show & GAFA Degree Show 2023” on the evening of May 24. Many haunting performances held the audience spellbound at the show divided into three segments.The first part of the grand event was a multimedia lighting show that featured the white horse from the famous painting “Night-Shining White” by Han Gan, a Chinese painter during the Tang Dynasty. The horse looked like a bright light in the dark, breaking the barrier between the past and present. The audience was amazed by seeing the laser horse from the ancient painting become real, galloping by the lakeside. The second part was a fashion show designed to showcase GAFA’s concern for nature, response to technological development, and creative ideas on traditions. The third part was the opening ceremony followed by the inspiring Cantonese song “No Longer Hesitate”. The show reached its climax with all the names of graduates popping up on the giant screen. #artandculture

5月24日晚，由广州美术学院主办的“献礼校庆70周年——《丹青引》跨媒体光影时装秀暨2023毕业季开幕式”在广美大学城校区惊艳上演。本场活动共分为三个部分。第一部分为多媒体灯光秀。从韩干名画《照夜白》中走出的白马，连接传统与现代，同时有如在黑夜中点燃一盏明灯，激光奔马在湖畔转虚为实，真实白马出现并以小剧场连接。第二部分是服装秀，呈现广美服装设计专业对自然的关注，对科技的回应，对传统的转化。第三部分通过一首激情澎湃的歌曲《不再犹豫》，将展演引向了开幕式现场。当宣布2023年广美毕业季开幕后，所有广美应届毕业生的名字出现在大屏幕上方，将活动推向了最高潮。
