Guangzhou’s Huangpu District Turns Flyovers into Flower Bridges

Bougainvillea is now in full bloom across Huangpu District in Guangzhou, adding splashes of purple and pink to the city’s elevated roads. Flyovers such as Fengle Flyover, Xiayuan Flyover and the overpass along Jiulong Avenue are adorned with colorful blossoms, creating what locals call “flower bridges in the sky.”

The district has bougainvillea planted on a total of 73 bridges, including 34 pedestrian bridges and 39 road overpasses. This autumn, visitors can enjoy a stroll beneath these vibrant floral displays and discover a more colorful side of urban Guangzhou.

近日，广州市黄埔区丰乐立交桥、夏园立交桥、九龙大道跨线桥等多处桥梁的簕杜鹃陆续进入盛花期，形成连片"空中花桥"。目前，黄埔区纳入养护范围的簕杜鹃天桥共73座，包括34座人行天桥、39座跨线桥。金秋时节，一起在城市里走一段"花路"！
