A Thousand Sails Set Out, a New Season Begins

Lingnan: Beauty Beyond Borders | Fishing has long been at the heart of life here, with generations relying on the sea for their livelihoods. On August 16, as the South China Sea monsoon winds swept through Zhapo Fishing Port, the port once again welcomed the start of a new fishing season. Yangjiang, a city shaped by the Maritime Silk Road and centuries of fishing traditions, came alive with a traditional sea-worship ceremony. Afterwards, more than 3,400 fishing boats set sail together, heading out to sea in a spectacular procession. Another season of abundance is here!

以渔为名，靠海而兴。当南海季风掠过闸坡渔港的上空，8月16日，这座被浪声宠爱的渔港再度迎来自己的“开渔礼”。我们走进阳江——海丝万里，渔火千年。今朝潮起，故事正新。古法祭海仪式后，3400多艘渔船拔锚起航、列队出港。又是一个丰收好时节！
