Zhanjiang’s Dual 10-Billion-Yuan Projects Forge Southern China’s "Blue Granary"

City life | In recent years, Zhanjiang has invested 21.8 billion yuan (10.8B under construction + 11.5B contracted) to build modern marine ranches. China's first automatic lifting marine ranch, Zhannong No 1, achieves an annual yield of 900 tons of fish. Innovations from Zhanjiang Bay Laboratory include a "DiDi marine ranch" service system and "data vault". County-level specialties from Leizhou’s golden pomfret to Xuwen’s oysters now thrive alongside China-Indonesia collaborations, as the century-old Changqiao Fishing Port transforms into a ￥350 million integrated complex.
