As China's mangrove stronghold, Guangdong safeguards 11,400 hectares of these ecosystems rich with 27 mangrove plant species spanning 18 families and 24 genera. 当潮水退去，滩涂上便会显现连片的“海上森林”——红树林。其发达的根系在淤泥中盘虬卧龙，托起万千生灵栖息的家园。作为我国红树林面积第一大省，广东拥有1.14万公顷红树林，红树植物种类丰富，达18科24属27种。厚实的“家底”背后，是一群广东林勘人从不缺席的身影，他们深入全省39个县市区的红树林，监测并记录红树林生长、物种资源等情况，将万顷林海视作孩子，悉心呵护。
