Let's celebrate the 102nd birthday of Guangzhou People's Park!

On October 12, Guangzhou People's Park celebrated its 102nd founding anniversary. People's Park was launched on October 12, 1921, as “the first park”. The name was changed to “Central Park” in 1926, and finally, it was renamed “People's Park” in 1966. In Chinese history, People's Park is the first city park that truly meets the citizens’ needs for leisure activities. On its 102nd anniversary, the park undertook activities such as stamp collecting, shuttlecock kicking, and dancing, leading the public to review the classic cultural activities of the century-old park. #citylife

10月12日，广州市人民公园迎来102岁生日。人民公园于1921年10月12日落成并命名为“第一公园”，随后两易其名，1926年改名为“中央公园”，1966年改名为“人民公园”并沿用至今，人民公园是中国历史上第一座真正服务于市民休憩活动需求的城市公园。在人民公园建园102周年纪念活动中，集邮、踢毽、跳舞等活动相继亮相，带领市民回味百年公园的经典文化活动。
