International Horticultural Exposition 2024 Chengdu unveils its emblem, mascot, and floral emblem

The International Horticultural Exposition 2024 Chengdu, scheduled to be held from April 26 to October 28, 2024, officially revealed its emblem, mascot, and floral emblem on September 20, 2023. The emblem of the expo draws inspiration from the profile of a panda's head and features various botanical elements such as ginkgo, hibiscus, and golden bamboo in its design. This artistic fusion vividly showcases the abundant biodiversity of the Chengdu region. The 2024 mascot affectionately named "Tong Meier" derives its core concept from two distinct sources: the rare and endangered dove-tree flowers and the "bronze divine bird" of the mysterious Sanxingdui Ruins Site. As a symbol of peace, friendship, inclusiveness, and cultural depth, the panda-like mascot embodies the unique cultural heritage and characteristics of Sichuan culture. As one of the city's symbols, the hibiscus has been chosen as the floral emblem of the expo, which represents nobility, steadfastness, and harmony with a vision and blessings for a successful and fulfilling hosting. #artandculture

2024年成都世界园艺博览会将于2024年4月26日至10月28日举行。9月20日， 2024成都世园会会徽、吉祥物、会花在新闻发布会上正式亮相。

成都世园会会徽以熊猫头部轮廓为基础，在设计中融入银杏、芙蓉花、黄金竹等多类植物元素，充分展示了成都地区丰富的生物多样性。2024成都世园会吉祥物为“桐妹儿”。核心创意来自中国特有的孑遗植物珙桐（又称鸽子花）和三星堆“青铜神鸟”，寓意和平友好、包容互鉴，富有深刻的文化内涵和巴蜀特色。成都市花芙蓉花为2024成都世园会会花。芙蓉寓意高尚坚定、团圆美满，表达对成都世园会圆满举办的愿景和祝福。
