World Association for Performing Arts inaugurated in Beijing 2023/11/17 source: International Daily Print

The inauguration of the World Association for Performing Arts (WAPA) and the Beijing Forum for Symphonic Music 2023 was held at the National Center for Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing on Monday.

The inaugural ceremony, themed "Seek New Development for Shared Growth", was attended by over 300 representatives in the art field from 187 organizations of 30 countries and regions, with their discussions focused on development and challenges in the global symphony industry.
A total of 30 art institutions worldwide have joined the WAPA.
The Beijing Forum for Symphonic Music is one of the three feature forums under the WAPA, with the other two being the Beijing Forum for Performing Arts and the Taihu International Stage Art Forum.
Established under the initiative of the NCPA, the WAPA is an international, professional and non-profit organization with an independent legal person status.
The mission of the WAPA is to build an open multilateral platform, promote outstanding works of performing arts on the international stage, facilitate the integration of technology with performing arts, and advocate for mutual learning and shared prosperity among diverse civilizations.
