An exhibition showcasing China's exquisite artworks and profound cultural heritage was held in Cape Town, South Africa.
At the Beauty of China - Chinese Art Expo, visitors can not only appreciate the beauty of traditional paintings and calligraphy but also savor authentic jasmine tea and experience the ancient art of Chinese medicine acupuncture.
"I love Chinese tea, the health part of it, and the taste of it and the culture that comes with the history of the tea. I love it. The exhibition all in all gave me a good understanding of the Chinese culture and history. And I now appreciate it more and love it," said Shiraj, a visitor.
Many visitors believe that the exhibition offers a good platform for people to understand more about China and for promoting cultural exchange between the two countries.
"I think it's particularly important here in terms of this exhibition that there is a taste of Chinese culture, there's an appreciation of the cultural exchange, and the deepening of the friendship and relationships that South Africa and China have," said Umesh Bawa, director of international relations at the University of Western Cape.
"Sessions such as this one, is an opportunity and an example of what to do, how you can do it and introduce our communities to each other," said Solomon Leches Tsenoli, deputy speaker of the National Assembly of South Africa.
