A pair of adorable giant panda cubs have been seen making the most of playtime as they took turns going down the slide in their enclosure at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in southwest China's Sichuan Province.

The heartwarming scene was released by the research base on Thursday, showing the bears shooting down the slide at speed and tumbling onto the grassy knoll below, before running back up to do it all over again.
The slide is part of the enrichment program which has been built to ensure the pandas stay healthy, with facilities such as toys, wooden play structures and pools all being set up to keep them physically active and mentally sharp.
The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is a world-renowned institution for the ex-situ conservation of giant pandas, scientific research and breeding, public education and tourism.
The base is famous for its work in protecting and breeding giant pandas, red pandas and other endangered wild animal species exclusive to China.
