Qingdao’s initiative of building itself into “China’s wellness-oriented bay area” has currently entered the stage of implementation in all respects after experiencing systematic planning and construction commencement. The Qingdao Branch of the People’s Bank of China, the Qingdao Municipal Financial Regulatory Bureau and the Qingdao Municipal Securities Regulatory Bureau have recently joined hands to roll out 18 policy measures to support the building of “China’s wellness-oriented bay area” and boost the development of silver economy. These measures are aimed at helping gather financial resources in an efficient manner, and will be adopted to provide funding of no fewer than RMB30 bln to support the building of “China’s wellness-oriented bay area”.
With a focus on building “China’s wellness-oriented bay area” into a health-related science and technology innovation base, a health industry development hub, a popular sojourn and recuperation destination, and a famous place for elderly care, Qingdao’s financial sector will avail itself of the opportunity presented by the launching of these policies to provide enterprises and projects across the health industry with full-life-cycle financial support featuring varied scenarios and financing channels by carrying forward innovation of products and services, pooling financial resources and improving the financial ecosystem.
Furthermore, Qingdao’s financial sector will take effective steps to diversify financing channels such as bonds, stock rights and supply chains, help broaden the participation of private capital, and create an unimpeded channel for long-term capital support in an aim to open up a new prospect for a variety of financial elements to work in solidarity to facilitate the building of “China’s wellness-oriented bay area”.
