This year's summer movie season, which started on Monday, offers a wide range of animated films designed to give young moviegoer fresh cinematic experiences of traditional culture and global favorites.

Domestic productions are drawing on mythology and history, bringing traditional aesthetics to the big screen.
Animation film "Master Zhong," released ahead of the International Children's Day on Monday, tells the story of a girl joining deities to battle demons. The animation blends folklore with traditional culture and action sequences.
"Chinese Animation: A Century," a documentary premiered on Monday, traces the century-long evolution of China's animation film industry and revisits childhood classics.
Also on the lineup of summer movie season this year is the epic title "Da Sheng Rises," which presents a fresh take on the Journey to the West saga with grand visuals and battle scenes.
The historical-themed animated film "Three Kingdoms Part 1: The Battle of Luoyang" uses ink-painting aesthetics to depict ancient battlefields, introducing historical knowledge through storytelling.
International franchises are also part of the lineup, with "The Garfield Movie," "Toy Story 5" and "Minions and Monsters" set to provide lighthearted entertainment for young viewers.
