The 28th China Fisheries & Seafood Expo and Aquaculture China was recently held in the Qingdao Hongdao International Convention and Exhibition Center.

Founded in 1996, the China Fisheries & Seafood Expo has grown into a world-leading aqua products trading event in terms of the exhibition scale and international influence. With an exhibition area of 115,000 square meters, this year’s expo included aquatic materials, processed goods, aquatic food, breeding and processing machinery and equipment that have international reach, showcased new products, novel technologies and emerging trends in the global aquatic industry, and facilitated global fishery trade cooperation.

The China-Netherlands Fishery Business Matchmaking Campaign, co-sponsored by the Embassy of the Netherlands in China, the Netherlands Business Support Office (NBSO) Qingdao, and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Qingdao Sub-council, was held as part of the event. Representatives from more than 50 Chinese companies engaging in imports and purchasing of aquatic products, wholesale and retail, fishery breeding and processing, cross-border e-commerce, high-end restaurants and catering services have paired up with eight leading fishery and seafood companies from the Netherlands in the trade fair, and reached several preliminary cooperation intentions.
