A 520L Haier French style four-door fridge was recently rolled off the assembly line in the intelligent fridge manufacturing project (first phase) of COSMOPlat Industrial Internet Ecological Park located in Jiaozhou, Qingdao, marking that the ecological park is officially put into operation.
Funded and constructed by Haier Group, the COSMOPlat Industrial Internet Ecological Park, where all plants and equipment cost as much as RMB 13 bln, has the plan to accommodate “top 10 factories” across industrial chains on refrigerators, washing machine, air-conditioners and resource utilization, and to build up globally leading interconnected factories for intelligent manufacturing and model lighthouse factories.
According to a person at the helm of Haier Group, the COSMOPlat Industrial Internet Ecological Park aspires to become the world’s largest home appliances park, with a planned total capacity of 26 million units. Taking advantage of Haier’s COSMOPlat, underpinned by the high-end intelligent home appliances industry and driven by digital economy, the project is on track to become China’s first “5G+AIoT whole industrial chain+scenarios+ecological forms” national level industrial internet lighthouse project featuring virtual-real fusion between human, machines and things, complete presence in products, scenarios and ecology and full coverage in R&D, manufacturing and application. After meeting the planned capacity, the project will generate a more than RMB 40 bln annual production value. (Wang Meng)
