The Qingdao Municipal Development and Reform Commission recently announced the 2023 list of scenario application labs, which consists of a total of 28 enterprises. The selected labs engage in cutting-edge fields such as integrated circuits, new energy, satellite communications, stem cells, high-power energy storage, as well as newly-developing areas including rail transit systems, smart airports, satellite remote sensing, underwater treatment and credit management.

The “scenario application lab” programme was initially established to facilitate the market-oriented application of new technologies, new industries, new models of business and new models. For instance, the space-time big data intelligent processing scenario application lab combines space-time information technology with IOT, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and blockchain, among other new-generation information technologies, to engage in studies of time-space big data collection, integrated processing, sharing and application and to launch smart product lines that cater to smart city application scenarios.

Taking the lead in developing gene technology, maritime IOT and space-time information technology and other future industries, Qingdao is striving to make breakthroughs in scenario application to open up new tracks.  (Yang Guang)
