BEIJING -- A breathtaking patchwork of green, golden and rust-red fall foliage has turned the suburbs of Beijing into a popular autumn tourist destination.
At the Yudu Mountain scenic spot in Yanqing District, shimmering colorful leaves offer visitors a unique taste of the season as they roam around a sunlit lake and camp on the grass.
Meanwhile, the 12th Red Leaves Festival opened Friday with vibrant autumn hues dazzling nature lovers in the Chinese capital's western district of Fangshan.
The festival, ongoing until Nov 15, is showcasing aspects of intangible cultural heritage and offering farm produce.
