CHENGDU -- An adorable panda cub with quite a character got a taste of rebellion against its keeper at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in southwest China's Sichuan Province.
In a footage released recently by the research center, the cub born this year was learning to crawl on a wooden surface and came near the window.
A keeper observing the cub's activity at the nursery room quickly moved it to the center of the wooden bed to keep it safe.
Despite the keeper's good intentions, the cub was apparently annoyed by the helicopter parenting, rebelled against the keeper by turning its head to the other side to show its temper.
The footage was filmed on Sept 13 and released on Oct 1.
The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is a world-renowned institution for the ex-situ conservation of giant pandas, scientific research and breeding, public education and tourism.
The base is famous for its work in protecting and breeding giant pandas, red pandas and other endangered wild animals exclusive to China.
