On the evening of August 4, the Meijiang District Jinshanwei Day and an intangible cultural heritage fair took place in Zhongting Square, Dongshan Xintiandi, Meijang District. Numerous citizens were attracted to go shopping, taste special delicacies, watch wonderful performances and play parent-child games.
On the Jinshanwei Day site, vendors loudly hawked their goods and all booths were crowded with customers, constituting the hustle and bustle. Vendors were touting for their own featured goods, including a variety of special agricultural products such as salt baked chicken and Hakaa rice wine, internet-famous snacks such as cold-brewed teas as well as special delicacies such as fried rice balls, fried dough twist and fried taro balls. Citizens and tourists were attracted to stop to taste or buy food products. After buying packets of goods, many people were wreathed in smiles. There were parent-child games like ancient archery and playing ring toss, adding to the amusement for citizens and tourists.
In the fair, there were a dazzling array of delicious food and splendid performances. The Hakka clapper talk performance The Path to Brightness, the marionette play, the song performance I Am a Hakka and I Love You, Girl and the classical dance Mingfei Dance were staged one after another, arousing rounds of cheers and presenting the artistic charm of Hakka culture to the audiences.
The event is intended to further boost consumption in the district, motivate citizen consumption, and diversify cultural life of grassroots people while fostering a sound business environment.
