[Meizhou Daily News] On the morning of August 22, the first group wedding, themed “New Trends and Fine Tradition-Love on Chinese Valentine’s Day”, was held in Qingmei Internet Entrepreneurship Industry Park, attracting the participation of 20 couples.
At 9 a.m., with romantic music, 20 couples in wedding dresses solemnly mounted the platform. In the wedding ceremony, leaders and guests handed out marriage certificates, gave wedding speeches and conveyed their best wishes. Accompanied by their friends, relatives and guests and amid happy and festive atmospheres, new couples in the limelight exchanged rings, read out marriage lines and took the oath of love. “Today it is a big day for us to tie the knot. We deeply feel kindness and wishes from governments and all sectors of society.” According to Pan Xiaohang, a participant, the new wedding ceremony has enabled us to experience Hakaa rituals and know the essence of marriage, and helped establish new marriage philosophies and foster social morals that advocate industry and frugality and oppose extravagance and waste.
