The Shanghai Cooperation Organization Youth Development Forum was recently held in Qingdao, drawing the participation of close to 100 young people from 11 SCO member states and observer states to establish friendship and imagine the future.

In the forum, heads of youth organizations and departments from China, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia,, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Belarus voice their opinions on priorities and innovative measures of youth development in their countries. They all think that exchanges between youths in the SCO member states can contribute to further working out innovative philosophy, manners of working and cooperation mechanisms for youth development, help youths across all countries better participate in public policy making, have fair access to high-quality education, improve their capacity of digital technology application and strengthen economic and trade cooperation.

The forum is an important part of the 2023 SCO Youth Campus. Since 2018, Qingdao has hosted the SCO Youth Campus for four consecutive times, thus setting up a platform for youths from the SCO member states to enhance bonds and establish friendship.  (Lin Junyan)
