Ice and snow themed parks across northeast China's Heilongjiang Province are launching an array of festive events including sculpture show and recreation programs, as winter tourism is heating up across the country.
In Heilongjiang's Heihe City, a 25,000-square-meter ice park has become a popular attraction, featuring a giant ice slide. As a city in China's northernmost province, Heihe has long been a favorite winter travel destination, and the park has launched new recreation programs for visitors.
"I've seen various ice sculptures, and had fun on the ice slide and other recreational facilities in the park. It is definitely worth a visit," said Lyu Mo, a tourist from Daqing City in the province.
Additionally, the city of Bei'an in Heilongjiang is hosting a grand "Ice Carnival" theme park that covers 100,000 square meters. The park features over 100 glamorous ice and snow sculptures, with dazzling beam lights illuminating the night skies.
"This is my first time seeing so many ice and snow sculptures, and enjoying such a vast winter-themed park. I am so delighted, and I can really feel the enthusiasm of people in the northeast, and the local culture," said Liu Anqi, a tourist from south China's Xiamen City, who traveled north to enjoy the winter sceneries.
