Two themed exhibitions commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War opened to the public in Beijing on Friday.

One of the exhibitions focuses on the crucial role of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in achieving victory of this war. It features more than 340 precious archived documents on major events and battles during the war, as well as a series of handwritten letters, speeches and inscriptions by the older generation of CPC leaders back then, among others.

With a panoramic view of this period in history, the exhibition highlights the CPC's role as the pillar of the 14-year War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and its significant contribution to the World Anti-Fascist War.

Another exhibition takes the Spanish people's resistance against German and Italian fascist aggression as a starting point, with national independence and people's liberation as the main theme.

For the first time, the exhibition showcases the situations on the battlefields of Spain and China in the same space, comprehensively demonstrating the glorious history of people worldwide jointly resisting fascism with over 260 images, more than 150 cultural relics, and historical footage.

The exhibitions are held at the Museum of the CPC and will be on display through the end of this year.
