The 2025 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week opened Saturday in Guiyang, capital of southwest China's Guizhou Province, to deepen educational collaboration and cultural bonds between China and the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
This year's cooperation week is designed to showcase achievements in cultural exchanges between China and ASEAN, expand the event's functions for educational collaboration, and attract broader participation from ASEAN and countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
A total of 116 activities will be held during the four-day event and throughout the rest of the year.
The cooperation week will see the signing of more than 60 agreements, which involves establishing eight overseas academies and joint research institutes, six training bases and three vocational education communities or industry-education alliances.
Over 1,100 overseas young people will be invited to participate in study tours and academic exchanges in China.
