The 150,000-tonne “Guoxin 2-1” and “Guoxin 2-2” aquaculture vessel, included in a new generation of Guoxin standard aquaculture vessels, are being built in Qingdao according to agreements signed.
“Guoxin 2-1” and “Guoxin 2-2”, two new-type aquaculture vessels that see iteration and upgrades from “Guoxin 1” in terms of building and operation, will undergo more than 160 improvements or upgrades in respect to overall design, functional zone division and utilization of new energy, ushering China’s deep-sea smart aquaculture vessels into the 2.0 era. With an investment of approximately RMB632mln, a length of 244.9m and a water displacement of 142,000 tons, a single vessel comprises 21 breeding cabins and holds nearly 100,000 cubic meters of aquatic water with a designed output of 3,700 tons high-quality fish.
Qingdao Guoxin Group has synchronously launched R&D and design on a 300,000-tonnage large-sized aquaculture vessel, whose construction is expected to kick off before the end of 2023. (Liu Lanxing)
