The 2026 China-Europe Entrepreneurs Qingdao Forum aims to strengthen cooperation among state-owned, private, and foreign-invested enterprises, focusing on innovation, investment, and international market development.
Details of the forum were announced at a news conference in Qingdao, Shandong province, on Oct 20.
Yang Chao, director of the Qingdao State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, said the forum seeks to bring together the complementary strengths of different types of enterprises.
State-owned enterprises offer capital, infrastructure, and industrial resources, while private businesses contribute flexibility, market expertise, and innovation. Foreign-invested enterprises bring advanced technologies, international business networks, and access to global markets.
Building on seven previous editions, the forum will create opportunities for joint research, investment partnerships, and supply chain cooperation, while helping Qingdao businesses expand into European and other international markets.
The program will include investment promotion sessions, business matchmaking, project roadshows, and policy consultations. Participating companies will also explore cooperation opportunities in industrial parks, major infrastructure projects, and technology development.
Following the forum, local authorities will establish mechanisms to track proposed partnerships and investment projects, helping turn business discussions into concrete agreements and projects.
