Today marks Cold Dew, the 17th solar term of the year on the Chinese calendar and a sign that late autumn has officially begun. In Qingdao, the season is in full splendor — mountains and sea are bathed in golden hues, and the city is alive with autumn charm.
Along the trails of Badaguan scenic area and Zhongshan Park, red-roofed villas peek through layers of fall foliage, while a gentle sea breeze carries the subtle scent of osmanthus. At the summit of Laoshan Mountain's Jufeng peak, visitors can take in sweeping views of colorful ridges meeting the endless blue sea.
This is also the season when pomegranates, hawthorns, and persimmons hang heavy on branches — a perfect time for hiking and enjoying nature's bounty. As temperatures drop and day-night differences widen, remember to dress warmly.
Cold Dew brings deep autumn. May everything you hope for arrive as expected.
