The Qingdao International Shipping Week 2026 took place from March 30 to April 3.

Themed “New Wave of Shipping, New Coordinates of Qingdao”, the Shipping Week gathered leading figures in the shipping and port industry, representatives from businesses and governmental departments, and industry experts and scholars to discuss and forecast new industrial development trends, seek new cooperation opportunities, foster an intensive linkage across the upstream and downstream sectors of the industrial chain, including shipping, energy, shipbuilding, finance and scientific research. The event works hard to grow into an international shipping communication platform that integrates high-end platforms, release of achievements, exhibition and exchange activities, economic and trade talks, business attraction and promotion, thus contributing “Qingdao’s solutions” to achieving high-quality development of the global shipping industry. In the event, a total of 13 themed activities were held, covering core domains like pilotage, port building, maritime laws and shipping finance.

The shipping week also witnessed the unveiling of the Blue Paper (2025) on the Development of Qingdao International Shipping Center, and Qingdao Port’s Innovation Efforts and Practices on Upgrading the Main Channel Digitally and Intelligently among other achievements. (Zhou Jianliang)
