At the recent World Superbike Championship Portuguese round, Chinese motorcycle brand ZXMOTO secured two consecutive victories in the World Supersport category, breaking decades of dominance by European, Japanese, and American brands. Behind this milestone are two Qingdao-based manufacturers: Qingdao Choho Industrial Co Ltd and Qingdao Desheng Machine Manufacture.

CHOHO, recognized as a national manufacturing leader, provided a custom race-grade chain system using aviation-grade materials and a nano-coating. This chain ensures stable power transmission under extreme heat, high load, and high speed. For 10 years running, CHOHO's motorcycle chains have ranked first in China's market, ending foreign monopolies in high-end chain transmissions.

Founded in 1957, Desheng Machine Manufacture supplied a high-precision crankshaft for the championship bike. Using micrometer-level accuracy and durable materials, the crankshaft delivers reliable power under intense racing. Desheng introduces 50 new products annually, including crankshafts for large-displacement motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles, serving well-known manufacturers both in China and abroad.

Together, these two "hidden champions" from Pingdu, Qingdao, represent the strength of China's manufacturing supply chain. Their decades in specialized components — chains and crankshafts — have enabled a domestic brand to succeed globally, showing that "made in Qingdao" can compete at the highest level of motorsport.
