Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport has switched to its summer-autumn flight schedule, running from March 29 to Oct 24. During the season, the airport is operating 4,483 weekly flights to 114 destinations on 170 routes.

New domestic destinations include Chenzhou in Hunan, Korla in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, Ulaanhot in Inner Mongolia, Shanxi's Yuncheng and Quzhou in Zhejiang, enriching travelers' access to less-visited gems.

International connectivity continues to grow, with passenger flights up 18.5 percent year-on-year. Qingdao now operates 32 daily round trips to Seoul, maintaining the second-largest South Korea route network in China.

In Southeast Asia, a new direct route to Penang, Malaysia — the only one in Shandong province— launched on March 31, complementing services to Singapore, Bangkok, and Hanoi.

Intercontinental links remain strong, with direct flights to Moscow, Melbourne, Sydney, and London.

Domestically, 11 major routes to cities such as Kunming, Shanghai and Chengdu now see over 10 daily flights, enhancing business travel. Meanwhile, the airport is expanding its connecting flight network, with cooperation established with 42 airports. City terminals in Weifang, Rizhao, and Linyi further facilitate seamless air-ground transfers.

Leveraging the new schedule, Qingdao airport aims to deepen "aviation and tourism" integration, launching themed packages and concert travel products to boost the "ticket economy".
