On March 29, a group of over 50 South Korean cycling enthusiasts kicked off the 2026 South Korean Tour in Qingdao at the Qingdao International Cruise Homeport.
The four-day cycling route, fostering connections through a combination of athletic activities and cultural exploration, showcases Qingdao's coastal scenery, Laoshan Mountain, and the Qingdao West Coast New Area. Participants can immerse themselves in the city's natural beauty and cultural heritage while enjoying a high-quality leisure experience.
Upon arrival, the cyclists received tourism brochures in their native language introducing Qingdao's history, folk customs, and local cuisine. A South Korean tour organizer noted that many cyclists have shown strong interest in Qingdao, and more travel products are being planned.
With its proximity to their home country, convenient visa policies, and rich tourism resources, Qingdao remains a top destination for South Korean travelers. The city plans to further develop specialized travel products and strengthen cooperation with the South Korean market, inviting more international friends to discover and fall in love with Qingdao.
