As late November arrives, the maple leaves in Qingdao's Shinan district reach their prime viewing season, offering residents and tourists a series of picturesque spots to appreciate the vibrant autumn colors.

In Zhongshan Park, more than 100 maple trees planted along the stream create a breathtaking display. The layers of red and orange stretch for hundreds of meters alongside the gently flowing water, resembling the glow of a sunset. The park, located at No 28 Wendeng Road, becomes the most concentrated and vivid red foliage during this period.

Baihua Garden transforms into a fairytale world in early winter. Instead of a uniform redness, the landscape presents a gradient of colors from pale crimson to deep wine-red. Situated at No 55 Yan'an 1st Road, the garden offers a diverse and enchanting viewing experience.

Xiaoyu Hill, Qingdao's first classical-style hilltop garden park, provides a unique place for maple viewing. Stone steps flanked by lightly blushing maples lead upward to more intense crimson views, where red foliage harmonizes with pavilions and towers. At dusk, from Bibo Pavilion, golden sunlight dances on the distant sea, casting a warm glow over the coastal city. The hill is located at No 24 Fushan Branch Road.

Zhanshan Temple, located at No 2 Zhiquan Road, reveals a poetic charm in the early winter. Red walls and grey tiles peek through graceful maple shadows, replacing the bleakness of winter with Zen. After enjoying the leaf viewing, visitors can try the comforting noodles at the temple's vegetarian restaurant, where a simple broth and noodles are complemented by the view of red leaves outside, providing comfort for both the heart and stomach.
