On November 15, the 150,000-tonne intelligent aquaculture vessel Guoxin No. 1 2-2, invested by Qingdao Guoxin Group, was officially delivered for operation in China State Shipbuilding Corporation Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.

With a length of 244.9 meters, a displacement of 150,000 tons and a volume of nearly 100,000 cubic meters aquatic water, the Guoxin No. 1 2-2 vessel comprises 15 standard breeding cabins as well as many circular tanks and testing tanks. After an intensive upgrade in the top four systems, namely, feedstuff feeding, processing, deep layer water intaking, finished fish discharge, the vessel has built a new model for land-sea coordination across the entire industrial chain, which is characterized by “fingerling selection-aquaculture-deep processing-brand-based marketing”.

A trio of vessels, including the groundbreaking Guoxin No. 1, the world’s first aquaculture vessel, the innovative version 2.0 “2-1” and the Guoxin No. 1 2-2 which was newly delivered, marks that Chinese-made deep-sea aquaculture vessels have entered a new stage of operation featuring application of intelligent technology, standardization and industrialization.
