21 Qingdao-based foreign trade companies in the food industry attended the 2025 ANUGA. The Qingdao pavilion, whose image was designed in a uniform way, grabbed the attention of many European clients.
ANUGA is known as one of the largest food and beverage industry trade events in the world. Boasting an exhibition area of 290,000 square meters, this year’s event attracted the participation of more than 8,000 exhibitors, a record high since its inception. “On the first day, we received more than 500 visitors, and secured orders of intent worth over RMB 30 million.” As noted by a responsible person for the Qingdao sub-council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the high-standard overall image building has helped make “Qingdao’s Fine Products” more well-known on the international arena, and Qingdao hopes to take advantage of influential trade events, which provide avenues for procurement, to show worldwide buyers outstanding quality and innovation capacity in its food industry.
Data shows that the Qingdao sub-council of the CCPIT in the period from January to September 2025 has organized companies to go to 12 countries, which comprised traditional markets such as Europe, America, Japan and South Korea, as well as emerging markets like Russia, Panama and ASEAN countries, for exhibition events, helped 357 enterprises to take part in 32 international professional trade events and secure RMB 1.226 billion worth of intended transactions.
