Qingdao hosts intl youth sailing events with global participation 2025/9/23 source: Print

The 2025 Qingdao International Youth Sailing Competition was held in Qingdao from Sept 12 to 17. Young sailors from over a dozen countries and regions, including China, Australia, Thailand, Russia, Germany, the Philippines, Indonesia, South Korea, Singapore, Poland, the Czech Republic, and South Africa, displayed their skills and competitive spirit on the water.

The event gathered nearly 200 elite youth sailors. Participants competed in various classes, including ILCA 4 and OP boats, showcasing their technical prowess and sportsmanship.

The competition was part of the larger Qingdao International Sailing Week and Qingdao International Marine Festival, further reinforcing Qingdao's status as China's sailing capital.
