On August 1, sea breezes blew gently, and the blue sea and the azure sky contrasted finely with each other in Jimiya Fisherman’s Wharf in the West Coast New Area of Qingdao. The “Charming Tangdao Bay Round Trip” route, which was premiered on that day, becomes the latest entrant among a total of 17 tourist routes of "Exploring Qingdao’s Beauty from the Sea", and is on course to be a new maritime corridor for citizens and tourists to discover more about Qingdao.

The “Charming Tangdao Bay Round Trip” route provides a fresh perspective to explore the West Coast from the sea, and complements with existing tourist products in Qingdao to form a spectrum of maritime tourism products.

The maritime tourist route starts from and ends at the Jimiya Wharf, and takes about 30 minutes. The route is dotted with landmark sites along the West Coast of Qingdao. Passengers can take a ship to recall the flames of the Song-Jin naval battle amid bluish waves, pass by luxuriantly green Niu Island, overlook Tangdao Bay National Wetland Park, which is reputed as “a paradise for migratory birds”, to see first-hand great vitality in the mysterious ecological realm, and visit Yumingzui, where “Yu Zui Xue Lang” (Fish Blowing Bubbles and Waves), one of the top eight ancient views, is found, to find out the millennial history amid the sound of sea waves. On the route, passengers can have an impeccable perspective to feast on the romantic “golden sunset” from the sea, and climb onto the “Eye of Qindao” ferris wheel to have a panoramic view of the urban skyline of the modern West Coast New Area.
