Qingdao Port now operates over 230 container routes, connecting more than 700 ports across over 180 countries and regions.

The 2025 Xinhua-Baltic International Shipping Center Development Index was recently released, with Qingdao rising from 15th to 13th place globally, surpassing Tokyo and Busan for the first time.

This advancement underscores Qingdao Port's role as a driving force in building an international shipping center and reflects the city's strategic efforts to integrate port and urban development.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Transport, Qingdao Port witnessed a 2.1 percent year-on-year growth in cargo throughput and a 7.8 percent increase in container volume in the first half of this year.

Qingdao Port has significantly increased its participation in global shipping regulations and price index publications, playing a more crucial role in the global maritime landscape.
