The SCO Demonstration Area (SCODA) recently signed an agreement with Songcheng, a leader in China’s artistic performance sector, to co-fund a large project named Silk Road Romance Park, which is aimed at becoming a comprehensive tourist destination integrating cultural presentations, artistic performances, leisure and recreation, with a focus on culture of Shandong Province, the Maritime Silk Road and SCO-related elements.
The Silk Road Romance project is intended to show multiple cultures and regional styles of SCO member states, and to bolster cultural exchange and cooperation between Qingdao and SCO member states and the rest of the world. After the project is completed, tourists from around the world can travel through time and space to get attached to the Silk Road, experience the charming Chinese culture and witness harmonious co-existence between civilizations of all kinds.
